Led by not-for-profit organisation Child Australia, and proudly funded by BHP, our early learning workforce development program is supporting communities to grow, thrive and reach their full potential through high quality early learning experiences. Support that begins with recruiting, retaining and continuous training in pursuit of a quality, sustainable early learning workforce.
Current Vacancies
We are currently working in partnership with the local early years centres and we have permanent full and part-time opportunities right now for Cert III and Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educators in Port Hedland and Newman.
Scholarships and Mentor Program
For our qualified early learning educators and leaders, we’re creating more training and employment opportunities for furthering your professional career growth. We are able to offer fully funded scholarship opportunities for those candidates who hold a Cert III and are keen to continue their development working towards a Diploma. In addition to the scholarships you will also be enrolled into our mentor program to ensure you are given continuous support during your employment and studies.
These opportunities are also available to candidates who are mid-study working towards a Diploma qualification and interested in joining the scholarship and mentor program. Future funding of your Diploma studies can be transferred and undertaken by this program.
Essential Criteria
To qualify for our current vacancies, you must meet the following criteria:
- Cert III or Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education
- Live in the Hedland or Newman region (or are moving there with a view to stay long term)
- Are an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with full working rights
- Over 16 years of age
